SMU alumna Crystal Wong who graduated from SMU in 2018, recounted how she made a bold decision to fly alone from Singapore to Hong Kong for an interview and to accept a job offer with SleekFlow – an onmnichannel messaging platform – in Hong Kong, when it was still a startup. She was then its fourth employee. Today, the company has over 100 employees, completed its Series A funding, and is now a one-stop multi-channel customer service and automated marketing software chosen by many Southeast Asian customers. Crystal now serves as the Head of Partnerships at SleekFlow. She recalled how her decision then was questioned by many, who cautioned her that it might be a job scam. She acknowledged that it was a bold decision, but she trusted her instincts.
