Singapore, London, 26 January 2023 (Thursday) – London-based Centre for Finance, Technology and Entrepreneurship (CFTE), the world’s largest knowledge platform in digital finance and fintech, and SMU Academy, the professional training arm of Singapore Management University (SMU) are excited to announce the launch of the ‘Blockchain and Digital Assets for Financial Services’ international programme, co-developed by both organisations. Specifically designed to support the industry with a solid and balanced knowledge of the various aspects of blockchain and digital assets, the programme introduces the fundamentals of blockchain and equips participants with the skills needed for the transition from traditional finance to a new world of digital finance.
With the global DeFi platform market size expected to reach approximately USD 508 Billion by 2028 and a compound annual growth rate of 43.8% during the forecast period, there are increasing job opportunities in the DeFi industry [Source: Emergence Research]. However, a large skills gap exists as people lack the necessary skills and knowledge about FinTech to take advantage of these opportunities. Traditional finance and decentralised finance are different worlds with a significant knowledge gap, thus it is important for individuals to stay up to date on recent developments surrounding digital assets and continue learning as the field evolves.
Believed to be the first in the world, the ‘Blockchain and Digital Assets for Financial Services’ programme covers all the essentials of blockchain and digital assets and providing participants with the skills and knowledge to thrive in this financial revolution. It is designed for a wide range of professionals, including policymakers and regulators; finance professionals and technology leaders; entry- to mid-level employees from traditional institutions; as well as students and graduates. Whether the participants are new to the field or come with some experience, this programme will provide a comprehensive understanding of the concepts, technologies and trends that shape the blockchain and digital asset space.
