In a joint commentary, SMU Lecturer of Law Vincent Ooi and Legal Ink partner Ow Kim Kit shared their views on how Singapore can become a regional centre for philanthropy. They noted the current generous tax incentives for charitable giving, and suggested enhancing tax deductions and creating a strong framework for reporting and monitoring the real-world impact of donations to further encourage philanthropy.
