Social enterprise TreeDots is the brainchild of three SMU alumni: Tylor Jong, Lau Jia Cai and Nicholas Lim. Founded in January 2018, it offers an online platform that allows businesses and individuals to purchase discounted food items and groceries from suppliers who would have otherwise discarded them, to reduce food and packaging waste. Mr Lim shares the journey of how TreeDots started, the challenges they had to overcome as well as their expansion plans.
