Turning plastic waste into green paving material, invention by 2 uni students to be tested at Jurong Lake Gardens

Magorium is a start-up company founded by SMU student, Hu Chu Xian and Huang Zhi Jie. They spent three years developing a green paving material from plastic waste, which will be tested at the Jurong Innovation District and Jurong Lake Gardens. Magorium processes waste plastics, which is used to replace part of the bitumen used in paving materials. This new mixed paving material can extend the life of roads and save costs. This idea has won the company first place in NTU's Ideasinc competition.
