Commentary: Singapore could be a model for cooler cities in a world heating up

In a joint commentary, SMU Associate Professor of Science, Technology and Society Winston Chow, who is also principal investigator of Cooling Singapore and Professor Gerhard Schmitt, a lead principal investigator of Cooling Singapore and Director of Singapore-ETH Centre, explained why turning the air-conditioning on full blast in the heat and humidity of Singapore is not a viable solution. They also discussed how Singapore could be a model for cooler cities in a world that is heating up.
