Law graduate wants to give back to society

When Arina Rashid was in her second year studying law at SMU, her father was retrenched. She said that it was the most challenging period in her studies. To lessen her family's financial burden she took up several jobs including internship, giving tuition and research work. In school, she participated actively in CCAs and was in the managing committees of floorball club and SMU Law Athletes. She also received plenty of emotional support from her peers besides getting MOE and Mendaki Scholarships. Recently, she graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Laws. Appreciating the financial aid that she received, Ms Arina said that this has indirectly motivated her to give back to society.
