Nudging students to rebut privacy violations

In a commentary, SMU Professor of Organisational Behaviour & Human Resources (Education) Thomas Menkhoff discussed how a viable artificial intelligence (AI) ecosystem can be built in Singapore. He cited the SMU Centre for AI & Data Governance, which was established in 2018 in SMU’s School of Law, and the second edition of the "Model AI Governance Framework" released by the Personal Data Protection Commission in 2020 as examples of what has been achieved in the areas of regulating data privacy protection and AI governance. He pointed out that more needs to be done to bring about high trust in AI technology, and educators should effectively engage the youth about the opportunities of "good" AI and also its risks.
