SIMILAH platform saves time on search for professional mediators to settle disputes

The Singapore International Mediation Institute (SIMI) announced the National SMU-SIMI Collaborative Dispute Resolution Award, which seeks to recognise students who have excelled in international collaborative dispute resolution competitions or contributed significantly to the growth of mediation and negotiation in Singapore. The award is open to law students from SMU, NUS and SUSS. SMU Assistant Professor of Law Dorcas Quek Anderson said, “Lawyers in today's legal landscape need to effectively advance their client's interests in a range of settings, including litigation in court and mediation.” Concurrently, SIMI also announced a new platform that enables members of the public to access the services of professional mediators.
