In a commentary, SMU Assistant Professor of Information Systems (Education) Subhajit Datta discussed the growing role of data, algorithms and information in our lives and how schools and professional training programmes need to augment the traditional education toolkit around the three Rs of reading, writing and arithmetic to include specific skills that will prepare today's students for tomorrow's world.
