SMU won first place in the SGX-NUS Stock Pitch Competition held in March 2019. The SMU team consisting of undergraduates Chng Jia Zhi, Wong Jia An, Joshua Ng and Cher Jia Yan won $1,500 with their pitch for Singapore Post. In an interview, Mr Chng shared the team’s rationale behind their “sell” call strategy for Singapore Post as well as the lessons learnt during the competition. There were about 400 participants from NUS, NTU, SMU, NUS High School, Anglo-Chinese School (Independent) SUTD, Yale-NUS College and York University.
