Customer satisfaction in Singapore hits new high

SMU’s Institute of Service Excellence (ISE) has released the 2018 full-year Customer Satisfaction Index of Singapore (CSISG) results. The results showed an increase in service excellence across the board with eight sectors recording higher scores. The overall score rose to 73.5, on a scale of 0 to 100 and is the highest on record in the index’s 12-year history.  The score in 2017 was 72.9 points. ISE Executive Director Neeta Lachmandas said, “The three consecutive improvements in the annual customer satisfaction levels does suggest the industry has been effective in its efforts to raise service levels.” Among the star performers are air transport, tourism and the beverage (F&B) sectors. “For air transport, this was primarily due to budget airlines improving at a much quicker pace than their full-service counterparts,” said ISE Head of Research and Consulting Chen Yongchang.
