A project jointly developed by a team from SMU, NTU and NHG, among others, was one of three projects using AI technologies in a $20 million healthcare research challenge unveiled on Wednesday to help Singapore slow down or stop the worsening of diabetes, high blood pressure and high cholesterol in patients suffering from all three types of diseases. The project, “An End-To-End Adaptive AI-Assisted 3H Care System” aims to identify people predisposed to these health issues based on behavioural patterns and health symptoms to allow early medical interventions to slow down the progression of chronic diseases and reduce the severity of associated health complications.
