SMU student Mandy Chan shared how she deferred her undergraduate studies for a year and defied the odds to start local backpack brand Bow For Bold. In 2017, the company debuted Quiver, a multi-functional bag, on crowdfunding platform Kickstarter. Ms Chan, a fourth-year undergraduate, also shared how her business has been featured as a case study by her professor during entrepreneurship lecture, and classmates would also often use her start-up as a topic in their writing.
