Bridging views in the Rakhine crisis

In recognition of the complex nature of the current crisis in Myanmar's Rakhine state, and the impact it can have for the region, SMU recently hosted a symposium on the Rakhine crisis. In a commentary, SMU’s Lee Kong Chian Distinguished Fellow Dr Noeleen Heyzer, a member of the United Nations’ (UN) Secretary General’s High Level Advisory Board and former UN Under-Secretary-General highlighted several practical, forward-looking ideas that emerged during the Symposium and could help us rethink our approaches to move the Rakhine crisis in the right direction.
