Commentary: Hustling, the skill social entrepreneurs must learn

In a commentary, SMU Executive Director of the Lien Centre for Social Innovation Jonathan Chang opined that social enterprises need to up their game by learning how to hustle in order to scale up their business and survive in the marketplace. They need to clearly understand the forces that are driving consumer spending habits and like any other successful businesses – rely on quality products and services to build a loyal customer base. Mr Chang urged social enterprises to consider new methods of connecting with their customers in more sustainable and meaningful ways.
