SMU and FinEX Asia signed a Memorandum of Understanding MOU to establish the Fintech Head-Start Programme, an internship programme to give students who are keen to enter fintech upon graduation, a head-start with relevant hands-on experience.

Under this partnership, the Fintech Head-Start Programme will provide up to three SMU undergraduates and/or postgraduate students (per year) the opportunity to do an internship at FinEx Asia in Hong Kong for 10 to 12 weeks, where they will pick-up the latest skills and knowledge related to fintech, and gain real-life multi-disciplinary exposure in this dynamic sector. Top performing interns from the Programme will also stand a chance to visit fintech companies at the Silicon Valley, together with fellow interns from other universities participating in the Fintech Head-Start Programme, namely Taiwan National Chengchi University and Hong Kong University of Science and Technology.
