Campus "ethical hackers" impart tips on how to combat cyber attacks

The “Whitehat Society” at SMU School of Information Systems was featured in an article about the rise of “ethical hackers” special interest groups in local universities. Founded in 2011, the group comprises approximately 40 active members who organise regular workshops in campus to demonstrate to participants the art of hacking and how not to get hacked. The workshops aim to promote awareness of the importance of information security throughout the whole campus.
