The SMU Annual Report to Stakeholders 2015/16 can now be read in a new flipbook format online (best viewed with Chrome, Firefox or Safari browsers) or downloaded as a PDF for reading offline.
The editorial content is more selective in scope and crisper in style, which brings into sharper focus the University’s key developments and this year’s editorial theme of transformation and renewal.
The section on Student Life, titled “Increasing the Tempo” includes news of successes in sports and other competitions; the Academia section, “Empowering Minds”, provides updates on SMU’s Contributions to the Committee on the Future Economy, SMU-X becoming part of the mainstream curriculum and the new Politics, Law and Economics major; the Thought Leadership section, “Inspiring Ideas”, looks at the recent Perspectives series in partnership with SMU and many other lectures and conferences on campus or organised by SMU; the SMU Community section, “Nurturing Connections”, looks at our growing alumni network, university advancement and examples of operational excellence.
The Report includes a summary of SMU President Professor Arnoud De Meyer’s goals for the University in the year ahead, taken from his State of the University Address. The digital edition also includes the University’s full financial statements.
Below are the introductory messages written by SMU Chairman Mr Ho Kwon Ping and SMU President Professor Arnoud De Meyer.
