Service of non-medical staff just as important

The recently released Customer Satisfaction Index of Singapore (CSISG) 2015 full-year results by the Institute of Service Excellence (ISES) at SMU revealed that interactions with administrative staff, followed by allied health professionals, had the greatest impact on customer satisfaction in the Restructured Hospitals sub-sector under the Healthcare sector. The five sub-sectors that make up the Healthcare sector did not show statistically significant changes from the year before. According to ISES at SMU Assistant Director Chen Yongchang (who is also the lead researcher of the CSISG), the drop in the Healthcare sector is “due in large part to the Restructured Hospitals sub-sector”. He added that our public hospitals contribute a significant share to the Healthcare sector score.
