The article cited the research findings of the latest quarterly survey for Singapore Index of Inflation Expectations (SInDEx), published by SMU. The survey reported that challenges seen in the global economy are driving Singaporean expectations of price increases to their lowest levels ever. The median expectation for inflation, in the fourth quarter of 2015 for the one year ahead, was 2.74 per cent, significantly lower than the 2.92 per cent seen in the third quarter of 2015. This would make it the lowest ever since the survey, stated SMU.
