- Thammasat awards prestigious PhD to the Professor
- Official conferral from His Royal Highness (HRH) the Crown Prince Maha Vajiralongkorn
- Recognition for two decades of contribution
SMU’s Professor Phillip Zerrillo was recently conferred a prestigious Honorary Doctoral Degree (Business Administration) at Thammasat University, Thailand. Prof Zerrillo is Professor and Executive Chairman of the Master's Degree Programme in Marketing (MIM) under Thammasat Business School.
Prof Zerrillo received the PhD officially from His Royal Highness (HRH) the Crown Prince Maha Vajiralongkorn on 16 November at Thammasat University’s Main Auditorium on the Tha Prachan Campus, together with five others from various departments in Thammasat University.
The award was unanimously granted by the Thammasat University Council for Prof Zerrillo’s invaluable and longstanding support and cooperation rendered to Thammasat Business School and Thammasat University for nearly two decades.
Thammasat is the second oldest university in Thailand, with its Faculty of Commerce and Accountancy that is globally known as Thammasat Business School founded in 1938. It is recognised as one of the foremost institutions of higher learning in the Kingdom.
Prof Zerrillo helms various positions in SMU. He is Dean, Postgraduate Professional Programmes; Deputy Dean of Programmes, Lee Kong Chian School of Business; Executive Director, Centre for Management Practice; Executive Director, Case Writing Initiative; and Professor of Marketing (Practice).
