In his weekly commentary, SMU Adjunct Faculty Larry Haverkamp noted that crowdfunding sites like Gofundme, Indiegogo and Kickstart are likely here to stay, although they will not be replacing banking. He suggested banks to adopt some practices, like imposing a credit card interest rate ceiling and imposing a ban on selling commission-based financial products.
