SMU Associate Professor of English Literature and Director of the Wee Kim Wee Centre Kirpal Singh shared his views on the legacy of the late Mr Lee Kuan Yew and how it affected current Prime Minister (PM) Lee Hsien Loong. He noted that “PM Lee has worked hard to keep his promises” and rated his performance ‘an eight out of 10’. Associate Prof Singh also pointed out that under PM Lee, “a lot more can be done in the arenas of education, ageing and having a mature democracy”.
