At a recent round-table discussion hosted by The Straits Times, SMU President Professor Arnoud De Meyer commented on how technology affects jobs and productivity. He noted that the percentage of lower-skilled jobs around the world has remained more or less the same, and it is jobs that require medium skills and are relatively repetitive that are being hit.
