SMU undergraduate Koh Kang Liang was lauded by netizens after he was spotted handing out burgers to those queueing to pay respects to Mr Lee Kuan Yew. Kang Liang was photographed by The New Paper as he gave out about 20 chicken burgers to those in line near the Padang. Facebook users have left numerous comments like “good job” and “Singapore spirit” on his profile page. Kang Liang said that he will distribute food again on the nights of March 26 and 27.
