The Ministry of Education released on February 27 the findings of the latest joint employment survey, conducted on 74 per cent of the 13,656 graduates from SMU, NUS and NTU. The survey found that graduates from all three universities in 2014 had higher starting salaries compared to those in 2013. The employment rate of SMU graduates was also the highest among the three universities at 91.6 per cent. SMU said in a statement that its graduates last year earned a median salary of $3,592, the highest in SMU's history. Law graduates also had the highest starting salaries of $5,800 among other SMU graduates.
