The SMU School of Information Systems was one of the sponsors in this year's SAS Analytics Competition. The event was organised in collaboration with student interest groups such as SMU’s Business Intelligence & Analytics special interest group. The competition, which took place from 23rd to 25th January, challenged students to explore ways in which analytics can help police forces in fighting crime. Over the years, SAS has forged strategic partnerships with four members of Singapore's Institutes of Higher Learning including SMU, aimed at increasing the skills, resources and competencies in Business Intelligence and Business Analytics in Singapore.
