Survey: Consumer satisfaction index falls for F&B and tourism industries

According to the latest findings of the Customer Satisfaction Index of Singapore conducted by the Institute of Service Excellence at SMU (ISES), the consumer satisfaction index for the local food and beverage (F&B) industry dropped by 6.5 per cent; while customer satisfaction for the local tourism industry fell 7.3 per cent. ISES Academic Director Assistant Professor Marcus Lee noted that many businesses are currently altering their business models to meet  operational challenges. He also cited the survey’s findings which showed that locals adapt better than foreigners when they face changes in the F&B industry. The survey was held from June to September this year, and involved 8,600 respondents.
