Winning team creates app which allows children to improve lazy eye condition while playing video games

A team from SMU, Eyenovation, has won the first prize in the university category of the Samsung Solve for Tomorrow competition. The team’s winning entry consists of a mobile application to help those with lazy eye condition improve their vision through playing video games. One of the members – Lu Yuan Jun – said that they also hope to manufacture 3D glasses specially made for those playing the game with the condition. Eyenovation won a $10,000 cash prize, a Samsung tablet, a study trip to Samsung Headquarters in Korea, and an internship opportunity at Samsung Singapore.
