In a forum reply to the article ("Overheard: Pass the Audit", Money & Investing, Sep 2), Accounting and Corporate Regulatory Authority Head (Corporate Communications Department) Ang Siok Hui stated that beyond commissioning SMU to undertake the study on the value of auditing, ACRA wasn't involved in any part of its process or outcome.
