SMU Associate Professor of Information Systems (Education) Lee Wee Leong was interviewed on the usage of Excel spreadsheets to boost productivity. He pointed out that Excel’s user-friendliness and varied mathematical formulas have made it the commonly-used computer tool for companies. Associate Prof Lee also highlighted that in the "Computer as an Analysis Tool" module, SMU students were taught how to use Excel to solve ambiguous and complex problems faced by companies across various sectors. He commented that Excel could help companies in their execution process, thereby improving their productivity.
