SMU Assistant Professor of Law Shubhankar Dam presented his book, Presidential Legislation in India: The Law and Practice of Ordinances, to India's Vice-President M. Hamid Ansari on Wednesday. The Vice-President congratulated the author for bringing out such a useful book. The book is the study of ordinances in India, centred on three main themes. It offers a detailed empirical account of ordinances, and the manner in which the constitutional provision has been used.
