Commenting on the changing nature of finance jobs against the backdrop of technological advancements, SMU Vice President (Business Development & External Relations) Associate Professor Annie Koh said that Singapore’s edge is from being the financial centre that deeply understands Asia. “If the ADB [Asian Development Bank] and World Bank is happy to fund certain projects, they say we want a Singapore-based financial institution to be a key player in this business… Even just 1 per cent to 5 per cent of that pie would help sustain Singapore as a financial centre for the next 10 years," she said.
