Associate Dean of the SMU Lee Kong Chian School of Business and Professor of Finance Benedict Koh highlighted the three categories of risks that can lead to financial disasters of individuals: risks associated with a person’s life, risks linked to a person’s financial activities, and inflation risks. He then went on to explain the three strategies one can implement in their wealth protection plan to deal with such risks: eliminate, hedge, mitigate.
