In response to IT experts’ warning that personal handheld devices are becoming more susceptible to cyberattacks, an SMU spokesperson said that it has “put in place ‘layers of defence’ at its servers, but stressed that users have the responsibility to clear the cache in their computers and utilise the anti-virus software provided by SMU to protect their own computers and data”.
