Solving global issues takes teamwork

SMU Professor of Public Policy Ann Florini believes that a new approach is needed to solve the world’s problems, one that is based on collaboration between governments, businesses and civil societies. Previously a senior fellow at The Brookings Institution in Washington, DC, Prof Florini was drawn to Asia because of the region’s dynamic experiments with new approaches to address major issues. To extend such thought leadership to other organisations, Prof Florini developed a new curriculum at SMU called the Master of Tri-Sector Collaboration to train much-needed “social intrapreneurs”.
