SMU Professor of Information Systems (Practice) and Institute of Innovation and Entrepreneurship Director Desai Arcot Narasimhalu said that the government “should reach out to the community at large to assure them there is value in entrepreneurial efforts.” It could demonstrate this by partnering start-ups or hiring failed entrepreneurs for their entrepreneurship programmes, he added. Prof Narasimhalu was commenting on the increasing number of tie-ups between start-ups and large organisations.
