
According to the joint Graduate Employment Survey conducted by SMU, NUS and NTU, the overall employment rate of SMU graduates rose slightly by 0.6 per cent to 92.3 per cent. The average starting salary for SMU graduates last year broke a new record, rising from a previous high of $3,395 to a new high of $3,455. Meanwhile, the median starting salary for SMU law graduates was $5,000. The employment rate of graduates from the three local universities last year was 89.3 per cent, and their median starting salary remained at $3,050.
