SMU Vice President (Business Development and External Relations) and Academic Director of the Business Families Institute, Associate Professor Annie Koh said: "The uniqueness and the strong inter-relationship between the family and business could potentially result in conflict." Her advice is for families to define roles at the workplace and play to one another's strengths. Associate Prof Koh was responding to queries on how families that work together would smooth out thorny issues.
