SMU law school and partners selected for UN research project

SMU and its partners in Africa and Asia have been selected by a United Nations working group for a research project. The project is aimed at developing a structural template for the implementation of the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights through national plans of action. The Asia component of the research project will be led by the Asian Business & Rule of Law initiative at SMU's law school, with its director Assistant Professor of Law Mahdev Mohan as the Principal Investigator. SMU's partners in Asia are Singapore Compact and ASEAN CSR Network. SMU and its partners will be presenting their preliminary views at a UN forum in Geneva this week.
