Tammy's adopter faces legal action from volunteer

SMU Associate Professor of Law Eugene Tan feared that “the contract may result in fewer dogs being adopted because prospective adopters may not welcome the (rescuer) still having residual rights”.  He was referring to the spotlight on adoption agreements being used by pet rescuers and animal welfare groups after Tammy the mongrel dog was put down by its adopter for being “aggressive”.
