DBS Bank has introduced a certificate programme for employees interested in treasury and markets. The programme, jointly developed with the Financial Training Institute at SMU, marries e-learning and facilitated training with practical applications. It will focus on treasury products and risk management as well as treasury sales. Successful candidates in the DBS-SMU Professional Certificate in Treasury and Markets programme will be certified under the Financial Industry Competence Standards (FICS). Academic Director of the Financial Training Institute at SMU, Associate Professor Annie Koh commented that the aim of the collaboration was to train local talent for the financial sector.
