A fair chance at jobs, if HR managers stand up and be counted

In a forum letter, Walter Jayandran commended SMU Associate Professor of Law Eugene Tan for his commentary, “Go beyond ‘nudges’ in tackling discrimination” (Sept 25) on the Fair Consideration Framework (FCF). Walter reiterated Associate Prof Tan’s stand that the application of the FCF has to be contextualised, and suggested that there is a need for companies to institutionalise an ethical hiring policy and design a process that can be subject to metrics.
