NUS opened its Singapore University Games (SuniG) netball campaign with a huge 85–14 win over SIM. The university hoped to retain its lead title again this year after emerging as the overall champion of SUniG netball in 2012. On the next court, SMU overcame SIT 68–14. This is the first year the SIT has taken part in the Games.
