SUniG Tennis (Men’s Doubles): NTU come back to beat SMU 9–7 to enter final

The NTU doubles duo of Desmond Boey and Benjamin Tan recovered from 7–2 down to beat the SMU pair of Dominic Boey and Terence Lim 9–7 in the tennis semi-final of the 2013 Singapore University Games (SUniG). The SMU pair were quick to close out the earlier games with a couple of good forehand and backhand smashes and passing shots against their opponents. However, as the match proceeded, the NTU duo managed to regain their composure and gradually work their way back up to secure their place in the final. “We consolidated the game when it was much earlier,” said Dominic. “Overall, it was a good game. I think we knew each other’s playing style quite well. Too well, actually.” Facing Dominic on the opposite side was his twin brother, Desmond. Terence and the twins also know each other from their previous tennis experiences.
