At a dialogue session with law students from SMU and NUS, Minister for Foreign Affairs and Law K Shanmugam said that while the Government supports a system of meritocracy in Singapore, it also assures that assistance is given to those in need through various means, such as quality childcare and ensuring that the best amenities are available in all schools.
