Undergrad eyes future in trading commodities

SMU student made stock trading debut last year, uses tuition income for investments

SMU business undergraduate Chui Simin embarked on the investment journey after the death of her maternal grandfather a decade ago. He had left behind $50,000 worth of shares in small and mid-sized stocks and her family was not sure what to do with it, as they knew little about investing.. It was only after Ms Chui enrolled at SMU and picked up some investment knowledge at SMU’s student-run EYE investment club, that she was able to solve the family's dilemma - and make her own stock trading debut.
