Room for civil society to grow in Singapore

On Our Singapore Conversation (OSC), SMU Associate Professor of Law Eugene Tan was of the opinion that the recent exercise could lead to a “more textured” relationship between people and government. He said: “It has been very much top down. The question now is can these consultations then unleash ground up initiatives, ground up energies… getting… the different stakeholders to work together for a common purpose.”
