Stiffer fines of $50,000 for those who fund terrorist activities

At the Parliament yesterday, it was announced that heavier fines of $50,000 will be imposed on those who fund terrorism under The Terrorism (Suppression of Financing) (Amendment) Bill. They will also be imprisoned up to 10 years. The Act also makes it a crime for someone to disclose information about investigations into such offences. SMU Associate Professor of Law and NMP Eugene Tan took part in the discussion.
